Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band's New CD is available NOW!

Want to get "Keysified?"  Wondering what to listen to on a "Rainy Day in Paradise?"  Howard's new CD, "Six Pack and A Tan" is now available!  You can purchase the CD online on Howard's website at www.HowardLivingston.com. You will hear all about the "Magic in Key West" while you think about "Another Sunset" at Mallory Square and instantly start feeling "Younger Every Day!"  After you "Work For It" hard during the week, y
ou may feel like taking it "Slow" and going "Out on Sandy Key", where you might pour "Five Lines in a Tervis Tumbler" to relax.  But don't think "Something Fishy's Going On" if you see someone "Peeing on a Coconut Tree"!

What is a Jump Up?

That’s a good question!  Most of us had never heard of that term before we started the Coconut Castaways.  But a couple of our original board members have been to an actual Jump Up on the island of St. Lucia and it’s the perfect way to describe the atmosphere and fun we want to bring to our events.

Friday fish party.jpg

A Jump Up is a Caribbean block party that rocks, almost literally, the island of St. Lucia every Friday Night.  The party takes place in the streets and it’s like a fair or festival in the United States.  Roads are blocked off so that people can flood the streets.  There are concession stands, grills set up in the streets to cook fresh meats and fish, and card tables covered with bottles of beer and rum punch.  (Kind of sounds like the Iowa State Fair, doesn’t it?)  Reggae and soca music blare from the bars as people hop from one bar or beer stand to the next, sampling the delicious food and enjoying their Friday night after a long week.

So … now that you know what we are talking about, be sure and join us at our next Jump Up!!  We know you’ll have a good time.  Check out the Castaways Calendar for the next event.
